  • A finished product sample
  • Another approved color reference

Colors displayed on computer screens or mobile phones are not reliable enough for final approval. For projects with strict color requirements, a physical sample should be confirmed before mass production.

9. What is the difference between PE and PVDF coatings?

PE polyester coating is commonly used for general decorative, indoor and cost-sensitive applications.

PVDF coating is generally selected for architectural and outdoor projects requiring stronger weather resistance, UV resistance and longer-term color stability.

The correct coating depends on:

  • Indoor or outdoor use
  • UV exposure
  • Humidity and corrosion conditions
  • Required gloss and appearance
  • Expected service environment
  • Applicable project standards
  • Budget

Please tell us where the material will be used instead of selecting a coating only by price.

10. Which surface finishes and gloss levels are available?

Depending on the product, available options may include:

  • High gloss
  • Semi-gloss
  • Matte
  • Smooth finish
  • Stucco embossed finish
  • Brushed finish
  • Mirror finish
  • Anodized finish
  • Wood grain finish
  • Stone pattern finish
  • Sublimation coating

Gloss and appearance should be confirmed against an approved sample whenever visual consistency is important.

11. Can protective film be applied to the aluminum surface?

Yes. Protective film can be applied to suitable aluminum sheets, coated aluminum products and sublimation aluminum sheets.

Please confirm:

  • Film color
  • Film thickness
  • Adhesion level
  • Single-side or double-side protection
  • Printing requirements
  • Whether the film must withstand cutting or forming

Protective film should be removed within the recommended storage and installation period to reduce the risk of adhesive residue.

12. Can you manufacture products according to drawings or samples?

Yes. We can review drawings, dimensional tables, CAD files, product photos or physical samples.

A useful drawing should show:

  • Material alloy and temper
  • Thickness, width and length
  • Hole size and position
  • Corner radius
  • Surface treatment
  • Tolerance
  • Quantity
  • Application

Complex processing or unusually tight tolerances may require a trial sample before mass production.

13. Can you help me choose the correct aluminum alloy?

Yes. Please tell us how the material will be used and whether it will be bent, stamped, deep drawn, welded, machined, coated or exposed outdoors.

Useful selection information includes:

  • Required strength
  • Forming method
  • Corrosion environment
  • Surface requirements
  • Indoor or outdoor use
  • Applicable standard
  • Target thickness

Our recommendation is based on the information provided. Final material selection should also be checked against your engineering and application requirements.

14. Can I combine several sizes or specifications in one order?

Mixed specifications may be possible, especially when they use compatible alloys, tempers, coatings and production routes.

However, each specification may have its own production minimum. Combining many small specifications may increase production loss, packaging complexity, cost and lead time.

Send us the complete specification list so that we can check whether the products can be combined into one production or shipment plan.

Quotations, MOQ and Samples

Information needed for accurate prices, trial orders and sample evaluation.

15. What information do you need to prepare an accurate quotation?

Please provide as much of the following information as possible:

  • Product: sheet, coil, strip, foil, circle or panel
  • Alloy: for example 1100, 3003 or 5052
  • Temper: for example O, H14, H24 or H32
  • Thickness:
  • Width:
  • Length or coil weight:
  • Surface finish or coating:
  • Color and gloss:
  • Protective film:
  • Tolerance:
  • Quantity:
  • Application:
  • Required standard:
  • Destination port or delivery address:

A drawing, photo or previous product specification is also helpful. A request such as “Please quote aluminum sheet” is not enough because prices vary significantly by alloy, thickness, surface, processing and quantity.

A formal quotation can normally be prepared faster when all specifications are complete. Custom colors, complex processing, special tests or door-to-door logistics may require additional review.

16. What is your minimum order quantity?

MOQ is not the same for every aluminum product.

It depends on:

  • Whether the material is in stock
  • Alloy and temper
  • Thickness and width
  • Coating type and color
  • Required processing
  • Packaging
  • Production loss
  • Whether specifications can be combined

Stock or standard products may support a smaller trial quantity. Custom colors, unusual dimensions and special production runs normally require a higher quantity.

17. Do you provide free aluminum samples?

Small standard material samples can often be supplied free of charge for evaluation.

The buyer may need to pay for:

  • International courier charges
  • Custom color sample production
  • Special cutting or machining
  • Large samples
  • Custom packaging

Sample availability depends on the requested alloy, thickness, color and surface finish.

18. Can I place a trial order before mass production?

Yes. A trial order may be possible for stock materials or products that can be combined with an existing production plan.

For custom-made materials, the feasibility of a small trial order depends on production minimums and setup costs.

Depending on the project, we may recommend:

  • A standard material sample
  • A color chip
  • A coated metal sample
  • A cut-to-size sample
  • A pre-production sample
  • A small trial batch
19. How is the aluminum price calculated?

Pricing is normally influenced by:

  • Aluminum raw material price
  • Alloy and temper
  • Thickness and width
  • Order quantity
  • Processing cost
  • Coating or surface treatment
  • Color and gloss
  • Protective film
  • Testing requirements
  • Export packaging
  • Freight and trade terms
  • Exchange rate

Very thin, unusually wide, unusually narrow or tight-tolerance products may have higher processing costs because they require more difficult production control or create more material loss.

20. Why does the quotation have a validity period?

Aluminum raw material prices, currency exchange rates and international freight costs can change.

For this reason, formal quotations normally include a validity period. If an order is confirmed after the quotation expires, the price may need to be recalculated.

A complete quotation should clearly state:

  • Product specification
  • Quantity
  • Unit price
  • Trade term
  • Payment term
  • Packaging
  • Estimated lead time
  • Quotation validity
21. Is the lowest-priced aluminum always the best choice?

No. A lower price may result from differences in:

  • Alloy or temper
  • Actual thickness
  • Coating thickness
  • Paint system
  • Width tolerance
  • Surface quality
  • Packaging
  • Inspection requirements
  • Weight calculation
  • Trade terms

Before comparing offers, make sure each supplier is quoting the same specification. A cheaper material that is unsuitable for forming, printing, outdoor exposure or corrosion conditions may create much higher costs later.

Quality Inspection and Documentation

Questions about inspection, certificates, standards, tolerances and quality claims.

22. How do you control product quality?

Inspection items depend on the product and may include:

  • Alloy and temper verification
  • Thickness measurement
  • Width and length inspection
  • Surface inspection
  • Flatness and coil condition
  • Color and gloss comparison
  • Coating thickness
  • Protective film inspection
  • Mechanical properties where required
  • Packaging inspection
  • Quantity and weight verification

Special acceptance criteria should be stated before quotation and production.

23. Can you provide a mill test certificate or quality report?

Quality documents can be provided according to the product, order and agreed specification.

Available documents may include:

  • Mill test certificate
  • Chemical composition report
  • Mechanical property report
  • Certificate of conformity
  • Dimensional inspection report
  • Coating inspection report
  • Production or inspection photos
  • Packing list

Not every document applies to every product. Required documentation must be confirmed before production.

24. Can the material be supplied according to ASTM, EN, JIS or GB standards?

Many aluminum products can be supplied with reference to recognized standards such as ASTM, EN, JIS or GB.

The applicable standard depends on the alloy, product form and intended use. Please provide the exact standard number and required revision. General descriptions such as “European standard” are not specific enough for production approval.

25. Do you accept third-party inspection?

Yes. Third-party inspection can be arranged at the buyer's request.

The inspection agency, inspection scope, timing, acceptance criteria and cost should be agreed before production.

Inspection may cover:

  • Material certificates
  • Dimensions
  • Surface quality
  • Coating and color
  • Quantity
  • Packaging
  • Loading supervision
  • Laboratory testing
26. How do you control color consistency between different batches?

Color consistency starts with an approved physical reference sample.

For projects with strict appearance requirements, we recommend:

  • Using an approved physical color sample
  • Producing the required quantity in one batch where possible
  • Confirming gloss and texture
  • Defining an acceptable color tolerance
  • Keeping batch records
  • Avoiding approval based only on screen images

Small differences may occur between separate coating batches. Buyers planning phased projects should discuss future color matching before the first order.

27. Can you guarantee a specific dimensional tolerance?

Tolerance depends on:

  • Product type
  • Alloy and temper
  • Thickness and width
  • Production process
  • Cutting method
  • Applicable standard

We do not use one tolerance value for every product. If your application requires a special tolerance, provide the exact requirement before quotation. Tighter tolerances may require additional processing, inspection and cost.

28. What should I do if I receive material with a quality problem?

Contact us before processing or using the affected material.

Please provide:

  • Contract or invoice number
  • Product and package labels
  • Batch number
  • Photos and videos
  • Measured dimensions
  • A clear description of the problem
  • Quantity affected
  • Inspection method
  • Condition of the packaging when opened

Do not discard the packaging, labels or affected material until the issue has been reviewed. We will compare the evidence with the confirmed specification, production records and inspection data before discussing a solution.
